This amazing book made me laugh out loud at times, and cry, cry, cry at times. I was so moved and connected to this beautiful, tragic and triumphant story. I’d heard of Storm Large, and she’s the same age as my son who is also a Portland musician, and I had actually seen her perform without her shirt at a St. Patty’s day party at the Lotus, out in a tent in the back. Reading her story was at times shocking due to her honesty and descriptive sexual encounters, especially for a woman of my age and humility, but it was that honesty and pain that she overcame that made the book impossible to put down. I’m certain that any honest woman would see a bit of herself somewhere in that story, and probably most men as well. I just loved her writing! Thank you, Storm

Got to see Storm with Pink Martini in Boston. My God, how could I not heard Storm before? I guess it just means that keeping cooped up on the East Coast can really keep you away from the really hip scene.

I was fortunate enough to see Storm perform with Pink Martini in Lexington, Kentucky in December . I have never seen anyone, ever, own a room like she did that night. And I have just now finished reading “Crazy Enough” – a touching, funny, brutal, and beautifully written book. Stormy, you don’t know me, but you feel like a part of my life now for letting me into your world via the book. Thank you.

Storm Large- we lived in the same house in the Mission many, many moons ago. I was the geeky guy- like that narrows it down. Anyway, good to see you are doing well. I’m no longer in the USA, but if I was, I’d go see you in a show. Peace out sister.
